I know you have heard me talk about my coach, Tyler. It would be perfectly fair to ask what does a health coach even do? Or why do I need a coach? Well, I’ve got Tyler here to break it down for you:
Hey, y’all! I’m Tyler from Fit Fierce & Female. I’m a nationally board-certified health and wellness coach (NBC-HWC) with over a dozen years worth of 1:1 and group coaching experience. I have an undergraduate degree in psychology, a master’s in nutrition, and a personal love for fitness. Helping people prioritize themselves, take control of their health, and improve their lives is something that brings me so much joy. And I do that through the lens of health coaching.
How Can a Health Coach Help Me?
Health coaches are a relatively new addition to the healthcare world. To sum it up, we’re behavior change experts. We help you bridge the gap between “knowing” and doing. Most people know what they should do when it comes to improving their health, they just have trouble taking action or being consistent. We can help with that.
We can support you in anything relating to nutrition, fitness, wellness, sleep, health, stress management, time management, hydration, weight loss, disease management, preventative care, and overall quality of life – the list goes on and on! Ultimately, a health coach is there to help you become your favorite version of yourself. Whatever you want that to look like!
And part of the process involves figuring that out… What do you want your life to look like? What’s stopping you from getting there? What could you tweak to get closer to those goals? And what can you realistically change?
A health coach can help you through that. Help you find your why, break down your goals and barriers, and support you through the ups and downs of your health journey (which, if you’ve been reading this blog, you know is a give-in). Sessions with your health coach are a safe space to dream, to vent, and they can help guide you where you want to go. Ultimately, you’re in the driver’s seat, but they’re helping you read the map and get through the traffic.
Starting a journey toward better health can feel overwhelming, daunting, even downright scary. There’s a lot of information out there and you might even feel like you have a ton of things to change. But that’s where our health coaching at Fit Fierce & Female comes in! You don’t have to do it alone. You don’t have to hold the burden. We’ll work with you to utilize your strengths, break down barriers, and build realistic habits for life-long health. And we’ll do it having as much fun as possible!
