After returning from our amazing vacation in Alaska, I am enjoying the adventure all over again by going through my photos. I knew Alaska was beautiful, but seeing it in person, that word is not strong enough. Magnificent is more like it! Here are some of the pics I took in Anchorage. I hope you enjoy.

Mr. Grumble and I starting our adventure

Travel buddies are the best!

Travel buddies are the best! We are walking around Anchorage.

Planet Walk as we strolled through Anchorage

We found this Planet Walk as we strolled through Anchorage. We did not find the planets (didn't really look for them...), but we found the sun!

Man in a hat and jacket points at an informational sign for the Anchorage Light Speed Planet Walk. Overcast sky, urban backdrop, greenery.

Mr. Grumble with one of many signs with the description of the walk.

Yellow building with round windows and blue accents under a cloudy sky. Street sign reads "4th Ave." A person walks on the sidewalk.

This leads to water views, but we were a bit far from the Gulf of Alaska. I thought this was a cool entryway.

City street with a red car and a yellow car driving. Overcast sky, buildings line the street. "One Way" sign on a pole, calm urban scene.

One of many streets in Anchorage. All the buildings are small, like these, and boxy. Very utilitarian, but it worked here.

Two people pose with faces through a colorful bear-themed cutout, smiling in an outdoor setting with flowers and a brick backdrop.

You can find funny things along the way. We can't help ourselves!

Furry coiled object with fake taxidermy, labeled "Tundra Snake" in a wooden setting. Warning sign reads "Please do not touch."

You can find interesting things too, like this gem. lol

Brewing company building with dark walls and yellow accents. Signs include "Oktoberfest" and "49th State Brewing." Overcast sky above.

This is a great place to get a snack. It's loud in there, but good food.

Two people smiling in front of colorful totem poles, with trees and a building in the background. The mood is cheerful.

We walked the whole city. We loved these totem poles and stopped to enjoy them.

Two bearded men smiling beside a wooden cowboy statue on a city sidewalk. Background features a tree, buildings, and a blue car. Overcast sky.

Guys just want to have fun too.

We enjoyed Anchorage. I recommend going if you get the chance. Don't plan several days. One or two days will be enough. The food is good. I recommend Cafe 817 also. Great food and the owner is cool. We ate there twice for breakfast. The people are friendly too. We were surprised at the number of people who are not from Alaska. They are from other countries or our lower forty-eight (as they like to say, lol). A lot of people work during the busy season and go home when Alaska shuts down for the winter. One guy we talked to worked several places in Alaska so he could see different parts of the state. I can see why.

When next we meet, we will be in Talkeetna, Alaska.
