Journal entry for 5/15/24
I am almost one year into my battle with "the Fluff" and am 51lbs. lighter! The journey is real and the struggles have been many, but I have a lot to be thankful for:
My diagnoses of PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), Hypothyroidism, and Meniere's Disease. If it wasn't for the struggles in my life, I would have never grown and decided to get healthy. I do believe my biggest life lessons come from the hard times and am stronger for it!
2. Finding Noom (https://www.noom.com)! I joined in June of 2023 and their
psychological approach to weight loss is an incredible blessing to me. They
continue to teach me how to eat healthy and make it a lifestyle change. I am not
dieting, I am changing habits and that is a great thing.
3. Coach Tyler!! We started out at Noom together, but she has recently started a
new coaching site with a friend and I followed her there
(https://fitfierceandfemale.com/). She helps me navigate the ups and downs of
weight loss and is able to work with my health issues. She is a great
cheerleader and friend.
4. Exercise. I used to hate doing it, but I love the activities that I am doing and that
has made all the difference in the world. I have joined a wonderful gym
(http://www.awakeandrejuvenate.com) and am taking the best classes with my
friend, Jennifer, leading. They are Zumba, cardio drumming and resistance training
Walking with my husband on the weekends (sometimes we hike) also. We walk around our neighborhood and have some of our best communications during those times. Being out in nature is good for the soul!
5. My husband, Mr. Grumble!! He makes sure we eat healthy foods and helps me to
remember my goals. He is my accountability partner and if he was not on board with this, it would not happen. He is doing an amazing job of keeping me on track and encouraging me even through those tough plateaus. I am beyond grateful for him!!
6. My family and friends have been a great support to me and have encouraged
me throughout!! I appreciate each and every one of them!!
7. The most important influence in my life is my faith in God. I draw strength from
Him and His Word gives me the willpower to make it through this health
adventure.
This whole team helped get me here and I know they will get me where I need to go. I am blessed, beyond measure, because of each person who is an integral part of this journey.
I am feeling better every day and writing this thank you note in my journal helps me to remember that this is a continuing saga. There will be ups and downs along the way, but I am not alone.
Isaiah 40:31- "But they who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not be faint."

You, my sweet sis are amazing and an inspiration to me! I love you and continue to watch you become who God has always knew you were and are.
